Understanding Project Notebooks #

Question 1: Just exactly what is Project Notebooks?

Project Notebooks is a multi-purpose tool for users to document and manage their event’s, committee’s, group’s, or project’s information so that future planning is simple and doesn’t require reinventing the wheel. It’s an excellent way to pass information from one leader to another to help them best understand what needs to happen to make the next group’s project or event or meeting as successful as possible.

Board or Committee Management: A board or committee can use this plugin to keep track of their meeting notes, document meeting minutes, track attendees of their meetings and publish these records to the front-end of their website. If budgets are involved, they can even track revenues and costs for their group.

Event Management: Project Notebooks allow users to track everything from general notes to key information that needs to get passed to the next event manager. Items like what went well and what didn’t go well can be passed from year to year to continually improve the event. Tracking costs of items for the event is also invaluable information that can get passed from chair to chair to help them prepare for next year’s event and understand any quantities needed to make it successful. Event managers can also create and manage tasks required to manage the event, so nothing gets missed along the way! Trying to recruit volunteer chair’s for next year? You can send any interested parties a link so they can see exactly what’s involved to manage the event!

Any Group Management: Project Notebooks allows any manager to pick and choose only the pieces of the notebook they need for their group. Don’t need budget tracking. Uncheck it! Don’t need meeting minute management? Uncheck it! Project Notebooks allows you to set up each and every notebook exactly as you see fit to best manage your group.
