Hide or show notebook sections on front-end #

This article explains how to hide or show a notebook’s different sections when being viewed from the front-end via the Project Listing page access. This allows a notebook to be displayed publicly without requiring all sections of the notebook to be displayed.

Prerequisites: This task requires the user to have administrative access to the Project Notebooks plugin.

Instructions #

Step 1: Navigate to the All Project Notebooks area by clicking the menu item located under the Project Notebooks main menu item.

Step 2: Click a project notebook’s title to edit the notebook.

Step 3: Locate the Show in tab on public view checkbox located at the bottom of each notebook section. Exact wording of this checkbox will depend on the section it’s under.

Checked – Checking this box will display this section’s information on the notebook’s front-end page when accessed via the Project Listing page.

Unchecked – Unchecking this box will hide this section’s information on the notebook’s front-end page when accessed via the Project Listing page.

Step 4: Click the Update button to save your work.

The result of this task will control the display of the various sections of this notebook on the front-end. This allows you to share a notebook with others without having to display the entire content of the notebook.
